The business community of Richwood has addressed the
importance of tourism to the local economy by incorporating a new Convention & Visitor's Bureau
in early 1998. The organization's mission is the promotion of tourism, especially
outdoor-related activities, in the Richwood area.
Until the formation of the Richwood CVB, most travel
inquiries were directed to the Richwood Chamber of Commerce, an
organization of businesses in the community.
The Richwood train depot will be the future home of
the Richwood Convention and Visitors Bureau. For the time being, the building signifies
